Hey everybody! I want to give a big thank you to everyone who has donated to help us reach our fundraising goal for the LA Walk for Farm Animals. I am able to thank some of you personally, but there are some whose names I don't recognize or I have no way of contacting, but please know that your donation means so much to me. I am so excited to tell you all that we only need $55 more to reach our goal of $500! Our team is also in 5th place overall with donations! I hope you might consider supporting us to help us reach our goal and rise in the ranks!
Each week, I am sharing one reason why you should support our team in Farm Sanctuary's Walk for Farm Animals. Please check out Reasons #1 and #2.

When the SPCA arrived at an abandoned home to rescue some dogs, they found Dotty as well. She was weak, ill, parasite-ridden, and had a broken leg. While the SPCA pressed charges against the owners, Dotty was given to Farm Sanctuary, where she was nursed back to health. Farm Sanctuary was ultimately granted custody of Dotty and she will soon be having surgery on her injured leg.
"We are thrilled that Dotty will able to spend the rest of her life at our New York Shelter, and Dotty is clearly excited about her new circumstances as well. She has become fast friends with a couple of other special-needs goats and also adores all the human attention she now receives. This friendly goat knows her name and runs out to greet visitors who call to her."

This is just a small sample of the work that Farm Sanctuary does. The Walk for Farm Animals allows them to raise money so they can keep doing this wonderful work. If you need even more convincing, you can read about Why I Am Walking for Farm Animals. I hope you'll consider supporting us (even $5 or $10 helps!)!

So sweet! I love goats. They are so funny and doting and just love attention. If I ever have a lot of land, someday I'd like to rescue a couple of goats. They're really neat animals.

I love goats too. My grandpa bought three baby goats at an auction once (He was raised a farmer and lives on a pretty big piece of land. Sometimes he will occasionally go to these auctions to feel like he is still a farmer, I guess). Any way, he thought the babies were so adorable and that his grandkids would love them and they would eat all the overgrown grass. One "belonged" to me, one to one of my female cousins, and one to another male cousin. Myself and the other female named our goats Moonbeam and Starbright. My male cousin named his Sharleen. They were the best. My grandpa kept them for us for a few years, but then I think he gave them away to eat other people's grass.
And that's my long, boring story about goats. I love them.
